One egg per day is bad for you?

Who can refuse breakfast with a savoury omelette? Yes, omelette is one of the most common breakfast menus. Some people believe that consuming eggs in the morning can help increase stamina. However, it is not uncommon to avoid eggs as a breakfast menu and replace them with fruit or oatmeal. As we know, besides having high nutrition, eggs also contain high cholesterol, especially in the yolk.

Until now, the debate about the side effects of eggs continues. Some experts claim that excessive egg consumption can increase the risk of heart-related diseases, while some others say the opposite. According to the results of recent studies, egg consumption does not significantly increase the risk of cholesterol and heart disease if consumed in a reasonable amount.

According to the results of a study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the researchers found that consuming one egg per day was not related to the risk of heart-related illness and death. In addition, they also found no link between the number of eggs consumed with the level of cholesterol in the blood. This result was found after analysing around 177,000 participants from 50 countries.

Although the results of the study show no link between egg consumption and health risks, it does not mean you can consume too many eggs. Excessive consumption of eggs is not recommended, especially for those of you who have a history of cholesterol or heart disease before. One egg per day is enough to get the benefits and not getting those risks.
