Benefits of phosphorus for health

  • 9-18 years - 1,250 mg
  • 4-8 years - 500 mg
  • 1-3 years - 460 mg
  • 0-12 months - 100-275 mg

To meet your phosphorus intake, you can consume a variety of foods rich in protein such as chicken, turkey, pork, seafood, whole grains, low-fat dairy products (yogurt and cottage cheese), and nuts. Garlic, potatoes, broccoli, dried fruit, and whole grains can also help.
